My name is Ms. Hutchinson, and I am a 2nd grade teacher at Estill Elementary School with four years of teaching experience. I am a graduate of Claflin University, where I developed a strong foundation in effective instructional practices and student-centered learning.
I am dedicated to fostering a positive and structured learning environment that supports both academic achievement and social development. I focus on building strong skills in mathematics while also encouraging students to develop confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning.
I value collaboration with families and believe that open communication plays an important role in student success. I look forward to a productive and rewarding school year at Estill Elementary School.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Reid, and I am your child's 2nd grade teacher this school year! This is my 5th year of teaching at the elementary level in Hampton county. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina-Aiken, and my master's degree from American College of Education.
From my experience with teaching, I have developed a teaching philosophy that is centered at connecting students with experiences that are relatable and practical. The process of learning for both adults and children is very similar. It consists of making connections with previous knowledge to acquire more knowledge. Without a foundation, more complex growth cannot take place. Thus, my intent for students to assess their prior knowledge and utilize it to accelerate their learning. I always look forward to getting to know my students and helping them reach their full potential!
